She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean L. Smith and Marguerite Smith (Spilker); and her husband William Arnold. She is survived by: her children, Janice Arnold of Loveland, Bruce Arnold (Cheryl) of Redding California and Mark Arnold (Robin) of Fort Worth; and her siblings, Dean L. Smith Jr. of Westfield and Norma Pettijohn of Topeka. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church of Lawrence.
