With solemn reverence, we commemorate Marilyn Sue Malson of Lawrence, Kansas, whose life came to an end on July 3, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Braum and Vivian Braum. She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Sue Steele; her brother Mike Braum (Donna); her stepdaughters, Cindy Watts, Sue Nilges (Greg) and Mary Baise (Russ); and her grandchildren, Jessica Nichols Shult (Eric), Erica Herzog (Jake), Ryan Watts (Sheri), Korey Bowden (Dan), Jennifer Baise, Abby Robertson (Masen), Kristen Culley, Kaycee Westhoff (Colton) and Marla Riggs (Shannon). She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary & Cremation Services (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in her memory to Saint Luke's Hospice House.
