It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mel Terrance Raynes of Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Raynes and Anne Raynes (Graham); and his brother Drew Raynes. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Raynes of Lawrence, KS; his daughters, Rebecca Buffington (Griffin) and Carolyn Beck (Jacob) of Kansas City, MO; his granddaughter Brooklyn; and his siblings, Karen Allen of Mount Pleasant, SC and Mark Raynes of Boiling Springs, SC..
