He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cater; his children, Michael Eugene Cater, Jr. (Chris), Teresa Marie Cater, Janette Lyn Funk (Loren), Arthur Raymond Cater and Steven Wayne Cater (Rebecca); his brothers, William Cater (Caroline) and Robert Cater; and his stepsister Judy Olson Christman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
