He was predeceased by: his parents, James Boyd and WillieMae Ellen Helm (Dees); his wife Lois Helm; and his son Larry Helm. He is survived by: his daughter Lori Petrie (Matt Schmidt) of Baldwin City; his grandchildren, Kari Brungardt (Ken) of Lawrence, Amanda Davis (Kyle) of Lawrence and Brandon Schmidt (Chandler) of Baldwin City; his great grandchildren, Brayden "Bray" Ballew, Faythe Brungardt (Henry Peal), Jackson Brungardt (Brooklyn), Lawson Brungardt, Cohen Davis, Nash Davis and Bowie Fuller; his great great grandchildren, Kenzleigh Brungardt, Lily Peal, James Brungardt and Harvey Peal; and his siblings, Lavern Redford, Sue McDaniel (Jim), Brenda Kuhnert, Oliver Helm, Monroe Helm, John Helm and David Helm.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
