Peggy Wenger Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Wenger of Lawrence, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Peggy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Peggy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, L. F. Milton and Irene Milton (Davis); her husband Leo Wenger; and her brother Amos Milton. She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Barnes (Ronald) and Paula Wenger (John Falley); and her grandchildren, Jennifer and Austin Barnes. She is also survived by three children from his first marriage and had many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Warren-Mcelwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery (2070 E 425 Rd, Lecompton, KS 66050).
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Lawrence Humane Society or the Lecompton First United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
