She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Shoate and Dorothy Shoate (Carpenter); her husband Donald Wheeler; and her brothers, Roy Shoate and Michael Shoate.
She is survived by: her children, Christina Berger (Steven) and Daniel Wheeler (Jennifer); her sister Nancy Lofton (Jack); and her grandchildren, Harmony and Symphony Wheeler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
