It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rian Paxton Russell Carlsten (Lawrence, Kansas), who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 18, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Rian shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rian farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his parents, Jason Carlsten and Casey Carlsten; his brothers, Troy, Aedan, Liam and David; and his grandparents, Roger, Betty Tuckel, Lance and Lisa Carlsten. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Warren McElwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044).
A memorial fund has been established in Rian's name at First State Bank & Trust in Perry, Kansas and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence, KS 66044.
