He is survived by: his wife Shari; his children, Robert Johnson of Olathe, KS, Jennifer Shambaugh (Mike) of Lawrence, KS, Reed Johnson (Kathryn) of Manhattan, KS, Jeanne, Marty Novak (Susan) of Hamshire, TX and Lori Peterson (Adam) of Midland, MI.; and his grandchildren, Julia-anne Johnson, Alex Clabaugh (Joanna), Trenton Shambaugh (Alyssa), Payton Shambaugh (Sam), Sorren Johnson, Millicent Johnson, Noah Dixon, Samuel Dixon, Mary Frances Dixon, Rachel Dixon, Morgan (Alexander), James Novak, Mason Novak, Brady Walker, Zachery Peterson (Morgan), Abby Peterson, Victor Peterson and Annie Peterson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Warren-Mcelwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Osawatomie Cemetery.
