He was predeceased by: his parents, Hymen Sam Shapiro and Pearl Shapiro; and his brother Ronald Shapiro. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Shapiro; his children, Steve Shapiro, Kevin Shapiro, Laura Shapiro Olsen and Jason Shapiro Sr.; his children-in-law, Robyn Shapiro, Martha Shapiro, Jayme Shapiro and Mike Olsen; his grandchildren, Derek Shapiro (Rachel Shapiro), Jordyn Shapiro, MaLaya Shapiro (Michael Burns), Jason M. Shapiro Jr., Jaron Shapiro, Madisyn Shapiro, Irelyn Shapiro, Brooklyn Shapiro and JoLee Olsen; his great grandchildren, Mailyn and Marceline; and his sister Janice Chick.
