We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2025, Thomas Walter Peard (Lawrence, Kansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Thomas' memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Thomas' journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Peard and Mary Ann Peard; his wife Janet Lutz; his children, Anna Peard and Geoffrey Peard; his daughter-in-law Maricruz; his granddaughter Sophia Peard; and his siblings, William Peard and Nancy Addison. He was also cherished by his cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Warren-Mcelwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044).
The family wishes to thank all the aids and medical staff who assisted Thomas during his Alzheimer's journey. Memorials in Thomas's name may be made to the Lawrence Humane Society or Alzheimer's Association and may be sent in care of Warren McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66049.
