He is survived by: his wife Martha Grosdidier; his children, Molly Pratt (Gary), Ruth Finnegan (Bob), Therese Vink (Rick), Maureen Mersmann, Michael Mersmann (Laura), Charles Mersmann (Bridget), Marian Mersmann (Varun Joshi), Anthony Mersmann and Claire Mersmann (Allen Collins); his grandchildren, Rachel (Thomas Arguear), Jonah, Henry, Lucy, Leo, Simon, Oliver Pratt, Robert, Bishop, Elaine, Ivan Finnegan, Isaac (Jadyn), Davis Vink, Luyanda, Lindani, Amahle Nkambule, Ellie, Dominic Mersmann, Gianna, Gerard, Walter Mersmann, Aadi and Rishi Joshi; his great grandchildren, Baylor and Bennett Vink; and his siblings, Fred Mersmann (Lois), Tom Mersmann (Robin Gingrich) and Wanda VanDyke.
