William Christopher Rice Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Christopher Rice of Lawrence, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 37. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandfather Orville Rice, Jr.; his father-in-law Steve Jon Danielson; his aunt Sylvia Johnson; and his uncles, Brad Rice and Kevin Rice.
He is survived by: his parents, Christopher Rice of Nedrow, NY and Yvette Lewis; his stepmother Kristina Isaac of Nedrow, NY; his grandmother Betty Jean Mahkuk Rice; his mother-in-law Debra Danielson; his children, William Christopher Rice, Jr., Leo Orville Rice, Mariah Kathryn Rice and Shayla Calliope Rice; and his siblings, Kyle Rice, Angel Ortega (Lydia), Tera Valdivia (Michael) of Colorado Springs, CO, Julia Phillips (K. J.) of Topeka and Shela Ortega of Topeka. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at the Native American Church (9187 174 Rd, Mayetta, KS 66509). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at the Mahkuk Cemetery.
