With sadness, we share the passing of William Michael McCaffrey of Lawrence, Kansas. William, born on January 8, 1939, passed away on October 15, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Michael McCaffrey to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleve McCaffrey and Marie McCaffrey (Workman); his siblings, Patrick McCaffrey and Mary Lee McCaffrey Hickam; and his nephew Gregory Hickam.
He is survived by: his son Michael McCaffrey; his nieces, Nancy Hickam Hunt, Janet Hickam Bogart and Susan Hickam; his nephew Robert Hickam Smith; and his pets, Norton, Tux, Glenda, Grumbles, Leo, Florence and Murray.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Warren-Mcelwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
