He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Andrew and Catherine Herrig (Miller); his wife Lois Elaine Green; his son Floyd "Butch" Mattison; and his siblings, Walter Herrig, Theresa Filley and Nicholas.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carole E. Blaser (Barbara Herrig), Deborah Blockburger of Easton and Joan M. Herrig of Baldwin, Kan.; his siblings, Thomas Herrig and MaryAnn Guilette; and his grandsons, Stephen Blaser, Brent Blaser (Jessica), Christopher Blockburger and Benjamin Blockburger. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Joseph Church (306 N Broadway St, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Church or Great Plains Adaptive Riding Academy.
