She was predeceased by: her parents, Cloyd E. Heim and Mary Alice Heim (Hund); her husband Edmund John Theis; her siblings, John Heim, Donald Heim and Helen Stewart; and her sisters-in-law, Carol Heim, GeriAnne Heim and Rita Heim.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Theis (Kathy) of Leavenworth, Lawrence Theis (Nancy) of Leavenworth, Joe Theis (Denise) of Fayetteville, Penn, Jerry Theis (Tonya) of Leavenworth and Paula Poff (Ronnie) of Leavenworth; and her brother Eugene Heim (Melissa) of Easton. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the R. L. Leintz Funeral Home (4701 10th Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Joseph Church (306 N Broadway St, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Twin Oaks Health and Rehab Activity Fund or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
