He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mein and Lela Mein (Gill). He is survived by: his wife Lois Janning; his children, Gordon Mein (Tonia Scrivo) of Leavenworth, KS, Alicia Van Schoelandt (Brian) of Lansing, KS, Philip Mein (Christina Young) of Olathe, KS and Eric Mein (Rachel Aaron) of Olathe, KS.; and his grandchildren, Lucas Mein (Sydney), Derek Mein (Tia), Nathan Palmer, Justin Palmer, Seth, Alise and Meredith Mein.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Belden Larkin Funeral Home (707 S 6th St, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
