He was predeceased by: his parents, Heber Mattingly and Helen Mattingly (Quigley); and his siblings, Donald, Sonny, Carol and Sandra.

He is survived by: his wife Angie M. Hund; his children, Gary Mattingly (Kim), Mike Mattingly (Dawn) and Barbara Gebhardt (Kevin); his grandchildren, Sammie, Ryan, Patrick, Meghan, Mason, Reece, Paige and Kahle; and his brother Bobby Mattngly.
