She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Floyd Arnold and Marie Arnold (Kreutzer); her husband Charles G. "Jake" Smith; her sons, Craig Smith (Vicki) of Grafton, Mass. and Kyle Smith (Kelly) of Lansing, Kan.; her sister Betty "Boopie" Sager; her grandchildren, Alyssa Simpson (Kevin), Taylor Sutton (Casey), Anna Smith, Michaela Smith, Ryan Hoppe (Natasha) and Kelsey Goedeke (Brett); her great grandchildren, Bailee, Brielle, Rhett Hoppe, Ace Goedeke, Jameson Putt and Iris Sutton; and her siblings, Shirley Smith, Elsie Roberts and Genie Arnold.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. L. Leintz Funeral Home (4701 10th Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (1401 2nd Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048).

Memorial donations are suggested to Council on Aging for the Meals on Wheels and Transportation programs.
