She was predeceased by: her significant other Billy "Pappy" Newburn; her parents, Gale Newton and Edna Newton; her brother Gale Newton Jr.; her grandchildren, Jerimiah Lozcano, Kelly Lewis and JoAnn Lewis (Richard Lewis); and her pet Lucy.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Lazcano (Julio), Debra Davis, Barbara Simon (Al), Nancy Figgs (Alan), Richard Lewis and Wayne Lewis (Leslie). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great‑grandchildren, and 1 great‑great grandchild.
In honor of Jeanne's memory, donations may be made to St. Croix Hospice, Atchison KS, whose care and compassion brought comfort to her and her family.
