He is survived by: his children, Amy Garner (Steve) of Spring Hill, TN and Keith Schwinn (Sherri) of Lansing, KS; his grandchildren, EmilyAnne, Adam, Andrew, James, Erika and Dominic; and his in-laws, Patty Schwinn of Leavenworth, KS, Richard Sumpter of Overland Park, KS, Micki Sumpter (Lauri Fernald) of Mt Desert, ME, Mary Moldenhauer (Mark Giesfeldt) and Donna Sumpter of Parkville, MO. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the R. L. Leintz Funeral Home (4701 10th Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A Mass was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (1401 2nd Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Xavier Catholic School.
