She was predeceased by: her parents, George Schmitz and Elsie Emler. She is survived by: her children, Debra Hewitt, Jared Hewitt and David Hewitt; her grandchildren, Aaron Heintzelman, Kelsie Heintzelman and Tristan Heintzelman; her sisters, Winifred Bard and Georgia Griffee (Robert Griffee); and her nephews, Michael Kane, Matthew Kane, Sean Griffee and Justin Griffee.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to a local animal shelter or humane society.
