He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Dorothy, John VanPutten of Holland, MI, Alverta, Paul Pursel and Mike Pursel.

He is survived by: his parent Terry Pursel; his wife Karen (Phillips); his daughter Shelby Hinkle; his son-in-law Jesse of Higbee, MO.; his son Bo Pursel; his daughter-in-law Jamie; his grandson Gratton of Leavenworth, KS; his mother Mary Lou Pursel of Leavenworth, KS.; and his brother Paul (Pam). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes, that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Mike Pursel Memorial Fund at First State Bank and Trust in Tonganoxie KS.
