We announce the death of Robert Owens (Leavenworth, Kansas), who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Caroline Schoonover; his parents, Charles Owens, Jr. and Annabelle Felix Owens; his siblings, Dorothy, Rosemary, Annamae, Bud and Jack; his son John Owens; and his grandson Zachary Owen Ney.
He is survived by: his sister Patricia "Pat" of Wichita, Kansas; his children, Dianna Borgmier (Steve) of Arlington, Tennessee, Robin Ney (Randy) of Bonner Springs, Kansas and David Owens (Jennifer) of Atlanta, Georgia; his daughter-in-law Michelle Owens of Bonner Springs, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Angie, Adina, Amber, Brian, Hope, Shelby, Summer, Sarah and Alyssa. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
The family requests any memorial contributions be made to the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church or to Olathe Hospice House in Bob's name.
