Rosemary Wasserman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2025, Rosemary Wasserman (Leavenworth, Kansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Heitmeyer and Martha Heitmeyer; her husband Jean; her sons, Robert, Michael and Brian; her brothers, Donald Heitmeyer (Eleanor) and Virgil Heitmeyer (Joan); her children, Christine Nessmith (Frank) of Wimberley, Texas, Lisa Courter (Steve) of Lansing, Kansas, James Wasserman of Kansas City, Missouri, Barbara Knapp (David) of Lake Forest, California and Sharon Bell (Rick) of Austin, Texas.; and her siblings, Alice Swetland (Bud) and Eugene Heitmeyer (Ann). She was also cherished by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Chapel (531 Shawnee St, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Church (900 Ida St, Lansing, KS 66043).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Salvation Army, C.W. Parker Carousel Museum, or Catholic Charities.
