He was predeceased by: his father Hiram Q.; his siblings, Thomas Booker, Theodore Kyser, Nathaniel Kyser, Daris Kyser, Solomon Kyser, Bobbie Jean Kyser, Joyce Stallworth and Ardella Snowden; and his brothers-in-law, Michael Sanders, Aaron Burr and Hiram Burr.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Kyser (Burr); his son Sam Kyser, Jr.; his stepson Eric Bishop (Christine); his daughters, Bridgette Singh (Samunder) and Valarie Kyser; his stepdaughters, Shyla Bishop and Tamra Day (Levi); his siblings, Lillie Pearl Anderson, Annie Ross Powell and Eddie Jacobs; his siblings-in-law, Frederick Hennesey (Shaundra), Phillip Sanders (Cheryl), Ceola Kyser, Eula Booker, Sandra Braxton (Robert) and Jackie Neely; his grandchildren, Kera, Freedom, Soren, Isaak, Makayla, Jaden, Anna, Raven, Levi and Eve; and his great grandchildren, Kendal and Jace.
