He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Brantley and Omega Brantley Jr. (Taylor); his brother Ronald R. Brantley; and his nephew Rodney L. Mabery. He is survived by: his siblings, Sonya Anderson, Theresa Mabery, Sherida Brantley-Anderson (Rick), Darryl Brantley, Craig Brantley (Sheila) and Adrian Brantley (Rachel); his aunts, Clara Jackson, Leslie Moore, Esther Turner and Louise Grant; and his uncle Richard Brantley.
