He is survived by: his parents, Steve Hodes and Susan Hodes; his wife Heather; his sons, Connor, Nicholas and Grayson; and his siblings, Steve (Neysa), Cari (Scott) and Katie (Garrett). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (6901 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Cure of Ars Catholic Church (9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS 66206).
