With sadness, we share the passing of Eric Matthew Younger of Leawood, Kansas. Eric, born on December 22, 1966, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Hannah Elaine Younger; his stepfather Robert N. Nash; his aunt Julia A. Younger; and his grandparents, Mildred, Wesley Horsman, Oland R. and Elizabeth J. Younger.
He is survived by: his mother Nancy Sue Younger (Horsman); his wife Kristen Younger; his daughters, Claire and Lauren Younger; his father Oland Younger (Judy); his brother Ross Younger (Christine); his cousins, Brian, Stephanie, Bill, Carrie, Todd, Ashleigh and Ryan; and his stepsiblings, Robert W. Nash (Jane), Michael Nash (Erin), John Jeschke (Idalia), Jamie Jeschke (Darcy) and Jennifer Vigueras (Andres).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave, Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Children's Mercy Kansas City and/or Wounded Warrior Project.
