He was predeceased by: his father James Patton McGee; his sister Mary McGee Amsden; his mother Virginia Grass McGee; and his grandson Donald R. Philbin, III. He is survived by: his wife Mary Carolyn Eads; his children, Mary Carolyn "Micki" McGee Philbin (Don), Charles Patton "Pat" McGee (Daphne) and Molly Eads McGee Lawson (Eric Lawson); his grandchildren, Kate Philbin, Christopher McGee (Cynthia), Danny McGee and Luke Lawson (Laura); his children, Mary Dunkerton (Ben) and Patrick Lawson (Paige); and his great grandchildren, Lily and Lerae Lawson (Luke).
