James D. Neighbors Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2025, at the age of 94, James D. Neighbors of Leawood, Kansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James D. Neighbors to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor; his parents, Mary and Grover; his brothers, Pat, Charlie and Bo; his half-sisters, Audra Eldridge and Wilma Trowbridge; and his great grandchild Nico.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara (Joe Weatherford), Beverly (Don Gieszelmann) and Mike (Melissa); and also, Mark, Shelly and Lisa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church of the Nativity (3800 W 119th St, Leawood, KS 66209). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in honor of James D. Neighbors to the Kansas City Hospice House, whose compassionate care brought comfort during his final days.
