With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jim Mavec D. (Leawood, Kansas), born in Wichita, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Donna; his brothers, Joseph, David and Christopher; and his son-in-law José.

He is survived by: his wife Christine; his children, James, Matthew, Olivia (Anthony), Elizabeth, Peter and Thomas; and his siblings, Matthew (Jeannie), Theresa, John (Helen) and Monica (Lee).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Colon Cancer Coalition (https://coloncancercoalition.org) as Jim's life was devoted to his patients and preventing colon cancer.
