The family announces the passing of Kathleen D. O'Brien of Leawood, Kansas on September 29, 2026. Kathleen, born on October 29, 1939, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. James O'Neil and Helen O'Neil; and her husband James O'Brien. She is survived by: her sons, David O'Brien and Bob O'Brien; her daughter-in-law Sarah; and her grandchildren, Colin (Sydney), Kiera Krstulic (Tanner), Keeley, Chloe, Mila and Jack O'Brien. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of the Nativity (3800 W 119th St, Leawood, KS 66209). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wayside Waifs in Kathleen's memory.
