With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kristen Asel Smith of Leawood, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Asel and Frances S. Asel. She is survived by: her husband Don Smith; her siblings, Joann Rea (John) of Evanston and Don Asel (Jodie) of Columbia; and her siblings' children, Jennifer Verhaggen of The Hague, Anne Reyneart of Chicago, Ashley Asel of Webster Groves, Toby Dible of Rogers, Mackenzie Nobis of Madison and David Rea of Chicago, Illinois..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made to St. Michael's & All Angels Episcopal Church, 6630 Nall Ave, Mission, KS 66202.
