He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alan, Ron and Carolynne. He is survived by: his daughter Katie Corley (Hampton); his grandsons, Will, Jack and Bennett; his daughter Jenny Manka; his grandchildren, Sarah and Kakie; his son Grant Manka (Laurie); and his granddaughter June.

Rich was actively involved with the Hutchinson Community Foundation, serving on the board from 2002 to 2009, and as chairman from 2006 to 2009.
