With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Vernon L. Winter (Lehigh, Kansas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his mother Annie (Loewen); his grandparents, Karl and Wilhelminia; and his siblings, Genevieve Abrahams, Delford Winter and Adella Geortzen.
He is survived by: his father John P.; his grandsons, Clay and Zach; his sister Genny; his wife Janice Elaine Warkentin; his sons, Douglas (Pam) and Bryce (Amy); his grandchildren, Clayton, Zachary, Gabrielle and Aubrey; and his great grandchildren, Ozzy, Colt, Nessa, Natalie and Juliet.
A burial will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Lehigh Mennonite Cemetery (2002 Hwy K 168, Lehigh, KS 67073). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (600 E Marlin St, McPherson, KS 67460). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the FBC Fellowship Hall.
