With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arlene Grace Laverty of Lenexa, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 7, 2025 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howell Bassford and Ruby Marlin Bassford (Wayne Laverty); her husband Wayne Laverty; her sister Lorraine Vondra; and her sons-in-law, Robert Long and Mark Kinkelaar.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Long of Miramar Beach, FL, Leslie Williams (Ken) of Chesterfield, MO and Kay Kinkelaar of Lenexa, KS.; her great grandchildren, Shannon Caston (Jason Roman) of Garland, Kelly Williams Bell (Eric) of Richmond Heights, MO and Erin Dreiling (William); and her children, Emma, Catherine, Hannah of Kansas City, MO, Reagan Higginbotham (Jarrett), Jaxon, Riley of Olathe, KS, Andrew Kinkelaar (Miguel Chavez-Pantoja) of Lenexa, KS, Michael Kinkelaar (Kelsey) and Addison of Lenexa, KS..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Loran Fawcett Chapel (704 Indiana St, Neodesha, KS 66757). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Neodesha City Cemetery (1900 12th St, Neodesha, KS 66757).
