She was predeceased by: her daughter Allison Ewert; and her brother Jack Cady. She is survived by: her husband Robert Brackhahn; her children, Amy Ellzey and Michael Brackhahn; her sister Susie Chapman; her sons-in-law, Kurt Ewert and Jay Ellzey; her grandchildren, Emily Henke, Abby Ewert, Matt Ewert, Jack Ellzey and Mary Kate Ellzey; and her great grandchildren, Charlie and Nora Henke.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to The Kelly Lynn Lutz Memorial Foundation are appreciated, reflecting Carol's enduring love for her daughter, Allison.
