With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Diane Baker of Lenexa, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2025 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Diane Baker to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Piland and Velma Piland; her husband Bryce Baker; her sister Vernadine (Richard); her son-in-law Charles; and her friend JoAnn Goss.
She is survived by: her children, Alaine Thigpen of Oklahoma City, OK, Janelle Gregory (Brandon) of Olathe, KS and Landon Baker of Olathe, KS; and her grandsons, Isaac Gregory and Brian Thigpen.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Wesley Chapel of Church of the Resurrection's Leawood (13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, KS 66224). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Valley View Cemetery (2901 N 3rd St, Garden City, KS 67846).
The family suggests memorials be given to the Lee Richardson Zoo and Garden City Community College in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
