She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Shields and Marie Shields (Cook); and her husband Bill Dean. She is survived by: her children, Pam (Bob Kennedy), Gene (Kay Dean), Randal (Elsie Dean), Duane (Tami Dean) and Jerry (Dana Dean); and her siblings, Debbie Newman and Billie Mark. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Porter Funeral Home (8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS 66215).
