Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Duane Richard Sprick II of Lenexa, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 67, on September 17, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Sprick and Carol Ann Sprick (Sievers). He is survived by: his wife Holly; his children, Sam (Lauren) and Hannah Sprick (Cody); his siblings, Paula Grotelueschen (Carl) and Stu Sprick (Diane); his aunts, Donna Hansen and Claire Ann Sprick; his uncle Roger Sprick; his father-in-law Dr. Thomas Johnson; and his brother-in-law Ben Johnson (Lori). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home (214 N 14th St, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023). A masonic service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the Solomon Lodge #10. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church (123 N 13th St, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery (1987 Rd P32, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family which will fund a remembrance bench in Rick's honor, or donations may be made to the University of Kansas Cancer Center.
