He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Keyes and Mary Keyes (Cindric); and his son Brian T. Keyes. He is survived by: his wife Norma; his brother Allen Keyes of San Francisco, CA.; his sons, Greg Keyes (Francis) of Osceola, MO., Michael Keyes (Michelle) of Fort Scott, KS and Calvin Keyes (Tricia) of Olathe, KS.; and his grandchildren, Katrina Keyes, Kristopher Keyes (Bethany), Bridger Keyes (Heidi), Jordan Keyes, Shelby Keyes, Austin Keyes (Tori), Wyatt Keyes (Brooklyn) and Hannah Keyes.
