He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Markus and Ethel Markus. He is survived by: his wife Glenna Markus; his sister Elizabeth Ann Hennick; and his niece River Julian Hennick.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Guardian Society Scholarship Fund or the American Cancer Society.
