He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Arthur Ring of Burden, Kansas. and Olive Pearl Ring (Rising) of Burden, Kansas.; and his siblings, Maxine Boucher, Stanley Ring and Sharon Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ring; his children, John Martin Ring and Gaye Lyn Heilman; his stepchildren, Charles Beeler (Sharon), Tim Beeler, Steve Schmidt, Roseann Ecklund (John), Phil Schmidt (Patty), Dan Schmidt (Kimberly) and Patricia Barnett (Richard); his grandchildren, Christa Heilman, John Heilman III (Alexi), Mary Morford (David), Tom Heilman (Nicole) and Emily Kirilov (Slava); and his stepgrandchildren, Ross Barnett (Monica), Amber Schmidt, Connor Wilson-Schmidt, Indigo Wilson-Schmidt, Brandon Schmidt and Ashley Ecklund. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
