He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Mathew Phillip Hirt III, Eric Hirt, Dr. Kelly Barikmo (Kristoffer), Kristy Hirt, Kevin Hirt, Kaitlyn Martinez (Phillip) and Kyle Hirt (Elizabeth); and his grandchildren, Kaleb, Jackson, Kiley, Konnor, Kolbe, Martha and Clare.
