Richard L. Saplata Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Saplata in Lenexa, Kansas, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Saplata (Rudy) and Dorothy Saplata; his wife Anne Saplata; and his sister Frances Brodie (Jean). He is survived by: his sisters, Elaine Leander (John) and Mary Jo Boyd (Tim); his brother-in-law Al Brodie; and his stepchildren, Russell Pasley (Sara), David Pasley, Greg Pasley (Sonia) and Cathy Mowry (Kevin). He is also survived by six step-grandchildren, six nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (13615 W 92nd St, Lenexa, KS 66215). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
