He was predeceased by : his parents, Merle Yessen and Norma Yessen. He is survived by : his children, Scott Yessen (Julie) and Emily Milligan (Tyler); his grandchildren, Elexa Yessen, Cade Yessen, Kate Crisler, Violet Crisler, Greer Milligan and Sloane Milligan; and his siblings, Marsha McBride (Marc) and Mark Yessen (Nancy). He is also survived by one niece, three nephews, five great nieces, one great nephew, and several cousins.
