He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin LeVern and Crystal Irene Taylor (Leitner); and his grandson Marcel Dwight Otter. He is survived by: his children, Sheila Otter (Mark) of Ulysses and Shawn Taylor (Sonja) of Lenora; his grandchildren, Ashley Jerby (Ryan), Alisha Otter, Anna Partida (Tomas), Marshall Otter, Shane Sattler (Danielle), Zadok Taylor (Gracie) and Zordyn Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Kasch Redeker, Jordan Jerby, Olivia Partida, Harlow Sattler, Mila Sattler and Charlotte Taylor.
He was active in the American Legion and he has requested that the Oberlin American Legion be listed as the recipient of all memorials given in his name.
