She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Stephens and Blanche Stephens (Breeden); her husbands, Charles Carey and Kenneth Rutherford; her daughter Glenda Gail Lindsey; and her siblings, Harold Stephens, Robert Stephens and Darlene Robbin.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Kay Darling Murray (Jewell) of Topeka, KS, Robert Alan Carey of Morland, KS, Cindy Sue Lyne Newman (Eugene) of St. George, KS and Steve Leon (Michelle) of Salina, KS; her sisters, Margaret Gartrell and Coleen Brooks; her grandchildren, Jason Lyne (Rachelle) of Long Beach, WA, Jessica Dieckhoff (Eric) of Olathe, KS, Megan Ulmer (Joseph) of Topeka, KS, Ashley Carey of Phoenix, AZ and Pierce Carey (Joe) of Baltimore, MD; and her close friend Ralph Berhardt. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
