He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Biel and Ida Biel (Kreutzer); his wife Billie Macku; his children, Dennis Biel, Dale Biel and Tina Biel Swift; his children-in-law, Kenneth Lerman and Carol Carpenter Biel; and his grandson Justin Wilkerson.
He is survived by: his children, Geri Anne Appel of Wichita, Kansas, Jeannine Ross of Leoti, Kansas, Rebecca Carter (Charles Moulton) of Webster and Paul Biel (Anita) of Hutchinson, Kansas; and his son-in-law Mark Swift of Florida. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Price and Sons Funeral Home (106 W J St, Leoti, KS 67861). A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (600 S 4th St, Leoti, KS 67861). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
